The worst kept secret in European football has been announced, as Inter look to recover from a disasterous start to the 2010/2011 installment of the Italian Serie A.
Former Liverpool coach Rafa Benitez was shown the door last week as Massimo Moratti (Inter Club President) confirmed that he had lost the trust of the players and the board alike. Benitez who had complained on numerous occasions that the transfer funds made avaliable to him at the start of the season were insufficient to cater for a big name signing, had threatened to quit mid way through the first half of the season.
New coach Leonardo, formerly coach of Ac Milan across town, has already stated his claims, saying that he will aim to make a number of big name signings during his time and especially during the approaching January transfer window.
After finishing third in the Serie A last year with Milan Leonardo will look to steer Inter to another title, although his former team Milan will do everything to stop him from continuing Inter's run of successive titles.
